Fall into Relaxation
As we move from Summer into Fall, many of us may feel a sudden rush of so many things to do: the kids now have school activities and commitments, our workloads may seem heavier, and we may feel like there aren’t enough hours in a day to get everything done. In fact, our daylight hours really are are getting shorter!
It is important to remember, however, that the season of autumn has important emotional and spiritual significance in our lives. Among these are the concepts of letting go of burdens, of remember that the world is ever-changing, and to embrace our part in the natural world by reestablishing our sense of flow and connectedness.
“As we watch leaves fluttering to the ground in the fall, we are reminded that nature’s cycles are mirrored in our lives. Autumn is a time for letting go and releasing things that have been a burden.”
When we are able to release the things that worry us and the things we cannot change, we make room for new, better experiences and connections.
Remember to Breathe
If you find the act of letting go difficult, as many of us do, try taking some time to tap into your own body’s amazing ability to heal and re-align. One method that many find beneficial is taking a few minutes to practice pranayamas, or breathing exercises. Organic Spa Magazine highlights five basic pranayamas for relaxation that are simple to perform whenever you feel stressed or overwhelmed.
Of course, it goes without saying that we would love it if you would treat yourself to a spa service and would be thrilled to assist you in finding the perfect treatment that is tailored to your needs. Spa treatments have a multitude of benefits–by addressing not only your physical health, but by seeking to bring balance to your emotional and mental well-being as well.
